One of a pair of paintings (with On the Verge) this piece was created on a blue background as an experiment into how white paint would play with water on the blue surface. Could I get a similar affect? Could I achieve the same variations in depth and could I build up the layers?

The result, a pair of paintings reminiscent of waves or clouds similar to Japanese woodblock prints (like The Great Wave by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai.)
